AZISAR is a selective AT1 subtype angiotensin II receptor antagonist. It lowers blood pressure by inhibiting action of vasopressor hormone Angiotensin II, a polypeptide that causes vasoconstriction, increased blood pressure and aldosterone release. AZISAR is newer angiotensin receptor blocker superior in lowering BP in its clinical maximum dosage compared to other ARB’s with lesser side effects. AZISAR is indicated for hypertension control either alone or in combination with other antihypertensives.

Dosage : AZISAR 40 mg once a day and can be increased to 80 mg once a day. No dosage adjustment is required in case of mild- moderate renal or Hepatic disfunction.
